The Villa Flor in S-chanf

Everything but ordinary

The small hotel on the edge of the Swiss National Park is authentic and personal. The seven guest rooms are furnished so individually and stylishly that they could be considered a work of art themselves. Each one has its own character, probably unique in the Engadine.

Art plays a major role at the Villa Flor. Well-known artists from Switzerland and abroad are among the regular guests who repeatedly display their works on the walls of the corridors and halls of the Villa Flor.

Artfully restored

In the small Engadine village of S-chanf, the Villa Flor stands out clearly. It is not a typical farmhouse, but a representative, stately house of a returning emigrant family in the style of neoclassicism with art nouveau decor.

In 1904, members of the Cloetta family, who had made their fortune in Parma as "Randolinas Engiadinaisas" and had returned wealthy, built the building as it still exists today.  In 2009 the manor house was converted into Villa Flor with seven guest rooms. In doing so, great attention was devoted to the preservation of the historical substance. At the same time, strong accents were set with contemporary architecture and artistic furnishings. The original Art Nouveau paintings were expertly restored and give Villa Flor an impressive aura.

Feel at home

A superlative retreat

On the cosy roof terrace one can admire the Engadine from above. A charging station for electric vehicles is available and house dog Kalua is looking forward to meet new four-legged friends.
