The Engadine -
the neighborhood of Villa Flor

Nature, culture & sports during all seasons

The Villa Flor is located in the small Engadine village of S-chanf. The proximity of the village to the National Park as well as to the chic St. Moritz make the hotel the ideal starting point for activities in winter and summer.

Art mecca Engadine

From Nietzsche to Segantini

Arts and culture are nowhere as present as in the Engadine. Here, unique architecture fascinates as much as excellent museums and galleries of world renown. Artists, poets and thinkers such as Giovanni Segantini, Friedrich Nietzsche or Alberto Giacometti have always chosen the Engadine as a place of inspiration.

Swiss National Park

Where Nature still has that say

The Swiss National Park is the largest wilderness area in Switzerland and the oldest national park in the Alps and Central Europe. It is known for its richness of alpine animals and plants in a hardly touched landscape. Nature is left to its own devices in the 170 km2 area, with man only playing a secondary role. And the best thing: in S-chanf you are almost in the middle of it all, so you can start walking directly from Villa Flor. A must do: a hike into the Val Trupchun in the golden autumn – stunningly beautiful!

Mountain biking in the Engadine

Trails from comfortable to highly demanding

For mountain bikers in the Engadine, the question is not where to find the best trails, but rather what kind of trails they should be. For example, you can take the gondola up to the Piz Nair before dawn to experience the spectacular sunrise at 3,057 m above sea level and then tackle the single trails. Or you can choose the route via the Bernina Pass towards Italy and return by train. On a rented e-bike you can cycle leisurely along the lakes and magical forests.
