The Engadin -
the neighborhood of Villa Flor

Nature, culture & sports all year round

The Villa Flor is located in the small Engadin village of S-chanf. The proximity of the village to the Swiss National Park as well as to St. Moritz make the hotel the ideal starting point for winter and summer activities.

Art mecca Engadin

From Nietzsche to Segantini

Art and culture are nowhere as prominent as in the Engadin. Unique architecture, excellent museums and renowned galleries make it the perfect destination for art-lovers. Artists, poets and thinkers such as Giovanni Segantini, Friedrich Nietzsche or Alberto Giacometti have chosen the Engadin as a place of inspiration.

Swiss National Park

Where Nature still has a say

The Swiss National Park is the largest wildlife area in Switzerland and the oldest national park in the Alps and Central Europe. It is known for its abundance of alpine animals and plants. Nature is left to its own devices in the 170 km2 area where humans only play a secondary role. From the Villa Flor it is only a short walk until you reach the park. Our recommendation: a hike into the Val Trupchun for the Engadin’s “Indian Summer”.

Mountain biking in the Engadine

Trails from comfortable to highly demanding

For mountain bikers the Engadin offers a great variety of routes. For example, you can take the gondola up to the Piz Nair before dawn to experience the spectacular sunrise at 3,057 meters above sea level and then tackle the single trails downhill. Or you can choose the route via the Bernina Pass towards Italy and return by train. On a rented e-bike you can cycle leisurely along the lakes and magical forests.
